Going to the hot springs for the meet and greet. Not sure what the appropriate garb is; I'll try nice casual over swim trunks. Bring towel! And beer!

This place is really fucked up. No government, no money, hardly any people - at least that I've seen so far. On the other hand, I've lived through places a hell of a lot worse, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

I'm going 'shopping' tomorrow - which seems to consists of wandering around empty shops taking what you need. I'm already nervous as a cat; nothing's ever free, and I have to wonder what the eventual price will be.

I wonder if there's a place where I can pick up some more interesting, and useful, gear. A sword would be nice. Herbs, powders, candles, and other tools of the trade would be even better. The only thing I've got now is a pocket knife and my bag, and while I can work with those I'd prefer not to have to limit myself to that.

I also need to find myself a place to camp out for the moment. Maybe one of the rooms in this hotel will prove sufficiently defensible. Some magic, wards, and maybe a little root work, and I should be able to make a place safe enough to sleep and study.

I need to find out what's really going on here.
